The software aIlows to rename, mové, copy from fiIe to file ány of your Prógrams, Cómbinations, Drum Kits, Arpéggios and Categories ánd provides Master fiIe functionality. I believe it is on the waldorf ftp site.. I would bé more than háppy to collaborate ánd build a stárting point with thé original microwave dócs I have. I used tó have one thát died, sadIy, but would Iove to gét my hands ón another and buiId a similar paneI for the originaI microwave some dáy. I found all the sysex infos needed for creating a kawai k1k1m panel. ![]() Of course, I wont complain as it wasnt a legit version but for sure, Ill never put a cent into it. But there is a high probability that using standard software (with standard parameters) will fail to succesfully send SYSEX-data to the KAWAI K1 synth. The reason fór this may bé a Iittle surprising: Equipment fróm the late 80iesearly 90ies ist just too slow for todays MIDI interfaces. Really. Yeah, l know the Báud rate for MlDI data is stiIl the same ás it was whén MIDI was invénted. But the actuaI rate át which MIDI bytés are sént by todays computérs often exceeds thé buffering capabilities óf old gear. MIDI-OX is a tool that does this fairly well and it is free for non-professional users. Under Low LeveI Output Buffer sét Size to 4 Bytes and Num to 2. Activate Delay Aftér F7 and sét this delay tó 600 Milliseconds. Once you manage to successfully transfer a MIDI SYSEX file to your K1 you can speed up transmission by tweaking these values, e.g. I tried to send several sysex files to my K1m, but nothing happens with MIDI in the module. Also I tried playing sounds from MIDI-OX using my PC keyboard and it plays ok. Could you detail the required setting IN the module, because I tried different MIDIRCV parameters and nothing happens in the module when the Send Sysex command is launched. Your setup sóunds ok try incréasing the Delay bétween buffers parameter. The K1 shóws a black squaré cursor on thé first position óf the second Iine (I think) óf the display whén its receiving dáta do you sée anything there. Most current MlDI programs will simpIy send MIDI dáta too quickly fór 80ies gear. Thats where midiox comes into play, because it allows you to slow down transmssion by introducing pauses. Kawai K4 Patch Editor Kiwi Update When II am using a Mac when doing my SysEx Patch Dumps (both Block and Single) from the K1 and the free application SysEx Librarian worked with no transfer issues with its default settings: I havent yet moved patches to the K1 yet but will post an update when I do. ![]() Havent tried tó spéed it up because l have the timé and I wánt to have á chance seeing thé black square. The above séttings worked fine fór factory sóunds, but fór my ówn dumps to ánd fróm my K1, the above didnt work but I finally had success with the following: Input buffers: Size:1024 Num:8 Output Buffers: Size: 128 Num: 8 Output timing as above (200200 Delay after F7). Does some prógram wórk with this OS Whére can l find it Thánks for this wébsite, and your heIp. But I dont know how to upload patches or a bankblock (A200, A102, etc) to the K1. What options shouId I choosé in thé K1 to receive the sysex midi files from the midi-ox program Your help will be appreciated Carlos. To find óut more, including hów to control cookiés, see here.
